An Early Surprise!!!

Anthony was really tired by 3:00 so we took him home. It is now 5:40 p.m. and he is still asleep. We will go later to the hospital. Melanie just wanted to sleep. What a wonderful surprise. Melanie after birth. She was shaking like last time but she was doing well. We cried a little together. I can't believe she has two babies. Let the good times roll!!!!
Grandpa Danny with Samuel and Anthony. Anthony was not happy that grandpa was holding Samuel.

Proud Grandpa and Samuel.

Anthony is blurry but he just finished giving Samuel a kiss

Samuel is a lot like Anthony. Big hands, nose and mouth. His hair is very black.

Proud daddy and our newest addition to the grandkids. #12 Samuel had just nursed for 15 minutes before this picture.

We told Anthony that daddy was a snowman. Seconds before going in for the birth of Samuel.

Mom and dad getting ready for the birth which is in a few seconds.

This is the cap they gave Renato to put on when he went in to see the birth. Anthony wasn't happy with it on his head.

They were sitting on the bench by the window sill in Melanie's prep room.

Melanie will probably kill me for putting this picture here but that's just part of child birth.

This morning at 4:30 a.m. I received a call from Melanie saying that she was nervous about some fluid she was discharging. It was really scaring her and I told her that if she started having pains that she needed to go to the hospital. She wasn't feeling any pains so she went to bed. At 9:30 a.m. she brought Anthony over to the house because she went to the doctor to see if it was something serious. We got another call about 11:50 a.m. saying we needed to get to the hospital because we are going to have a new grandchild soon. We packed up things and got Anthony ready and to the hospital we headed. I was a little nervous because it is 5 weeks early to have the baby. We got to the hospital and the dr. was calm and everyone was calm. At about 2:00 p.m. we have little Samuel in our arms. What a weird day. He weight was 6# 10 oz. I didn't get the length. He is healthy and strong and Melanie is doing great. Samuel nursed first try. Everything seemed calmer with Samuel. He is absolutely beautiful. Anthony couldn't stop kissing him. Anthony got a concerned look on his face when Samuel started crying and all Anthony could say was "cry, cry, cry" he looked so concerned about his little brother. Here are some pictures of our interesting and exciting day.

Thanksgiving

This is Craig, Julia's friend, and Melanie looking uncomfortable. Melanie hates stuffing but she loved it today.
Renato watching Anthony using his drill. After we ate dinner.

This is Michael and Nicole his friend. She is a very nice person. She came to visit him from Rock Springs Wyoming. She had a stroke in 2003 and can't use her left side.

Two day of cooking and it last only a few minutes. It was wonderful. We had Michael's friend with us and Julia's friend for dinner. Plus we had Melanie and Renato and Anthony. Bill took a picture of my turkey it looked pretty good. I cooked it differently this year. I started on Wednesday with the turkey and the stuffing and the gravy. It was fabulous! Here are some pictures of the joyous occassion.

More Pictures

This is little miss Jordyn and Grandma Neen. A.J. is being silly. This was at Peyton's birthday party tonight.
Is he going to be an upcoming pianist! I hope so. He plays the piano like Michael used to when he was Anthony's age. Good sign.

This is Anthony watching his favorite show, Little Einsteins. He was relaxed surrounded by pillows.

Kelly is loves the series of Twilight, (if you don't you must be a boy). She can't wait till the movie comes out. I thought the movie was rated "R" but she told me tonight it was PG13. I'm going and taking Kelly with me!

Here is the little lady Peyton in her tinkerbell outfit she received from her friend that is standing next to her. I don't know her name.

These are some pictures that I love. We celebrated Peyton's birthday today at Gabe and Val's. She is so funny. She is such a grown up little child. Happy as they come.

My birthday

On my birthday I went to Hires for dinner with two of my friends. Peggy and Gayle. Gayle is talking to my other friend from Portland on the phone. We talk about funny things. We are all going through different phases of menopause and we laughed all through dinner. Jami is the friend that couldn't be there.

Trans Siberian Orchestra

On Thursday evening Bill andI went to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra at the E-Center with his brother and his wife Richard and Marilyn. It was abolutely incredible. I did have to close my eyes several times because the light show was too much for my eyes. It was a free date and that was even more wonderful. I did have a clostrophbic attack. I haven't had one that bad for a long time.

I will be going to Portland Oregon on Wednesday for a National Science Teachers convention. It is all paid for. I can't wait. I will be able to see Jami and go to the beach. We are planning on going to Mt. St. Helens I have never been there. I will put pictures on the blog when I return.

Stake Temple Day

Today has been one to help me reflect on how I treat people and how strong my beliefs are. I say this because I started out my day with no goals per say but I decided to help Bill clean the building. He was asked to if he could because they are having a hard time getting people to clean on saturday. That makes me sad to think our lives are too busy not to help clean for 2 hours out of a day. Do I get mad at people in our ward or do I just go and do what I have no problem doing with a cheerful heart and do it without thinking badly towards people. I enjoyed cleaning the building. I had a little time to call Julia and help her organize her lesson for Sunday. She teaches in Relief Society and her lesson was titled: "A Heart Full of Love and Faith: The Prophet's Letters to His Family." I don't go to Relief Society because I teach in the Nursery which is the last two hours of the block. So when I help Julia and read the lesson. The letters Joseph wrote to Emma touched my heart. He went through so many trials, most I can't even imagine and he still taught to love others to be the best that you can be and to trust in the Lord for help. He never denied his belief. I can only hope that I will never deny what I know to be true. After I helped Julia we got ready to go to the Temple. We went early and did a session before the Stake met in the Chapel of the Temple. The Temple president in his talk said that there is no place on earth like the Temple. Satan is unable to be there. It is a place where we can feel safe and humble. Where Jesus is and where prayers are answered. I have never hear this before but he said that President Kimball once said that there would be 1000 Temples. I may not see that in my life time but I believe it will happen. With proposition 8 being such a hot issue it makes me sad that people say that the LDS church breds hatred. There were churches in L.A. that were vandalized with spray paint. I guess I could be mad, but I am only sad. Today brought me a lot of joy and I feel calm about things happening around the world today. I have an incredible family that surrounds me in my thoughts and prayers and in person. How could I be angry, or even sad! It's just been a wonderful day.

Grandkids

November 3, 2008

It was hard to go back to work after have a 3 day weekend and especially when I spent the 3 days with a migraine headache. Sunday it was the worst, I wanted to die. So to make things better I thought of each of my grandkids and what each of them do to make me smile and to make my day.

Shawn: When you kiss your mother and show your love to her.
Kelly: When I see you reading. You are just like me, I will read several books at a time.
Donovan: trying to make Anthony laugh.
Lucas: The way you make friends, especially with the girls
A.J.: Your silly expressions and body positions
Madison: When you make cookies with me
Emma: Your very imaginative stories in the dark with a flash light to your face
Peyton: Standing on the chair in front of your T.V. singing to Josh Groban
Kyle: when we made a tunnel in your front room and got under it
Anthony: hearing your new words, especially, "I did it" and "wan it"
Jordyn: seeing you be born, what an incredible experience.
Samuel: (soon to be born) knowing you'll have the name of my best friends son.
Baby Keil: seeing your ultra sound pictures and looking at Bill and saying, "that's a Keil nose"

My headache is gone and I love being a grandma!!!

Bill shaking Eric Reidel's hand because he graduated from some military thing and this is a ceremony that is performed. It was pretty cool. He had to give Bill a silver dollar bill. (something we just happend to have because we purchased two of them when we were in the Philippines on Curador Island).

The salute and then the passing of the silver dollar bill.

Grandma Audrey at the birthday party when we were at Chili's. Same time I took the pictures of all of us.

Grandma and Grandpa 08

Today was just a busy cleaning day. Bill is organizing "underneath" his computer station!!!! He really must be sick. It looks great. I have to laugh at myself when I clean. I started putting things away in a drawer in the kitchen and I couldn't stand how disorganized it was so I spent time doing that. I put something away in another drawer and ta da it is also organized. I fixed my vacuum that I thought we would have to throw away and get a new one. My mother was pulling into her driveway and hit Stevie's rig and broke her light on her car. She is really freaked about it. I told her not to even fix it because she doesn't drive at night and she doesn't have to have it inspected until March of 09. We are hoping that she will sell the house and move in with one of us girls. It's been a great day.

One day older and wiser

Georgia On My Mind

We went to Georgia around the 5th of July, 08. It was of course a lot of fun. We went several places. My favorite was Stone Mountain. I'm sure that Bill's favorite was Six Flags. The weather was beautiful. The kids did a program at their church that was so cute. Lucas was quite the singer when he went up front. I loved the part when Chris played Jesus. It's hard to leave knowing that we won't see them for a while.

California 2008

Enjoying Life!!!

Thank heaven's for technology. We were just watching the video of Kyle dancing and seeing the beautiful smile of Jordyn. Our hearts cry out to be there with you as you grow and become your own little person. We are so lucky to have the children that we do. Complete joy is what we feel when we think of you.

Today was good. Nothing exciting. I picked up our van after having the brakes fixed. Came home and fixed dinner and Bill brought the yound men over to play wii. Talk about crazy. Males are definately much different than the young women.

Lazy Sunday

I love Sundays. I teach in the nursery. Bill is in Young Men. I have nine little ones in my class. they are so fun. Two hours goes by really fast. I wasn't really lazy today, I worked on my cut outs for nursery. President Beck, our former Stake President, spoke at a fireside tonight. It was wonderful as usual. He us one of my favorite people. He serve as Mission President in California for 3 years. I know how to write really well on my blog I am just learning how to add things. I changed my background. It's only 9:06 p.m. instead of midnight. My mother is progressing nicely. She came up tonight and seemed to be getting around a lot better. I need to sign off for now. I'll be back.

Another Lovely Day

Saturday October 18, 2008

It seems that when I got on my blog it wasn't set up so I must have done something that made it go away. I love to read Heather and Val's blog it makes me so jealous. I will try and do as good as you guys. However, I always start these very late at night and it is now 10:46 p.m.

It has been a crazy weekend. Friday morning at about 12:55 a.m. we got a phone call from my mothers house. She fell and hit her head on her tile floor. She has a big goose egg. She was hurting pretty bad and because she takes cumadin (sp) her blood is really thin. She was taking away in an ambulance and taken to Jordan Valley Hospital. by 4:00 a.m. she was ok and sent home. She stayed with us Thursday and Friday night. She is full of bruises and very sore but we are very thank ful that she is still with us. Bill says she has more lives than a cat.

Bill and I are very happy. We are trying to get our back yard finished. It is very hard work and we can tell that we are getting very old. We can't do as much as we used to. We are of course excited to add number 13 to our list of grandchildren. Heather and Ben are very creative in announcing the new arrival. Gabe and Val were pretty creative with the movie announcement with Emma I think it was. Two new grandchildren!!! How blessed can we be.

Michael tried out to sing the national anthem at the Jazz game and he was on the news as one of the contestants. I didn't see him but heard him singing. Bill was laughing and ran downstairs to tell me Michael was on the news. We don't know yet if he made it.

Melanie is looking pretty pregnant and will probably have her baby around the 19th of December.

Julia is same old same old. She has Fridays off until the end of the year and so she takes paratransit to the temple. They are so helpful with her and she stays all day.

You know about Gabe and Val and Ben and Heather from their blogs.

Annie and Chris and still trying to find a house and the kids are doing very well in school.

I will try and learn all I can to make this blog the best it can be. I'm sure I will never reach the level of Val and Heather but I will try. Right now my patience is ok. Hopefully I won't lose this one. It is weird that I lost it because Heather even made a comment on my last one.
